I don't know how you got hold of this book, if it was recommended by a friend, a family member or your English teacher, if you just got it randomly for Christmas and don't know what to do with it at this point or whether you were just bored looking around a bookstore and happened to end up picking out this book, maybe it wasn't in the right shelf or it had fallen on the ground and you are that person that picked it up. I don't know if it was the cover, the size or this back cover that you're still reading. Maybe you bought it by accident and don't know what to do with it. Either way, you have it, for this reason or that, or any other reason I might've not mentioned, because thank God the world is full of more possibilities than the ones I've just written. It talks about you, whoever you are and wherever you may be, but it talks about you in one way or another.

This is a meta-fictional novel  that follows a seventeen-year-old girl who leaves her home in Los Angeles without warning to head to New York with the only pursuit to publish her novel.  As she crosses the country, she writes—trying to make sense of a past she refuses to fully name, and a self still taking shape.  No one she meets knows who she is, her name or where she is going, but her story belongs only to the reader, revealed on her own terms.  What begins as an escape, or redirection, becomes something else entirely as a journey toward a final act that will define both her book and who she eventually is becoming.
